The East End | Master Planning, Building Feasibility Studies, Design, & Executive Architect

The East End Campus consists of property previously owned by The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Akron, Ohio. Existing property and buildings were acquired by IRG as part of a development deal to provide Goodyear with a new Global Headquarters. KA assisted with Master Planning of the 400+ acre campus.

KA performed a feasibility study of the existing headquarters structure, which consists of 17 buildings. Each of the existing structures was built at a different times, dating as far back as 1920, with the last significant renovation occurring in the 1970s. The buildings eventually connected into one continuous building with over 1.4 million square feet of space. The buildings, formerly serving as manufacturing and later converted to single tenant office space, will be converted into a multiple-tenant development. KA assisted with the tenant phasing, enclosed interior parking, site improvements and design of a new entrance and central atrium. Anticipated uses for the building include education, Class A and B office space and dining facilities.
