When they began the $100 million University Square project, designers were challenged to fit 611,000 sf of retail and restaurants onto a tight, 17-acre site. It quickly became evident that the only solution was to go vertical.
With the convenience of a 2,300-car multi-level parking garage connecting two-story shops and eateries, visitors can traverse the entire complex without using their cars. The elimination of the typical internal mall concourse conserves needed space and makes it easy for patrons to enter the shops from the garage. And, getting lost is a thing of the past with color-coded, anchor store signage showing the way.
