The Toledo Hilton is adjacent to the University of Toledo's ring road and is incorporated into the campus master plan. The hotel reflects the clean, crisp profiles of existing campus buildings and blends well with its environment. Prominent on the campus ring road, its logo placement provides a strong campus identity.

The design meets the program’s goal to provide guests with relaxed, full service hospitality. The skylighted reception area easily directs visitors to the lounge, pool, dining room, or glass sided pre-function space adjacent to meeting rooms. It also has views into a formal garden court.

The hotel occupies a strategic position to serve both visiting professors and families of students. A one and a half story public space links the hotel to the adjacent Dana Conference Center for continuing education with an on-grade covered connection. The linkage provides an appropriate solution in scale and proportion between the conference center and the six-story hotel tower.
