The project consisted of a tenant interior build-out in a newly constructed sustainable building on East College Street in Oberlin, OH. Oberlin College's tenant build-out contained the Alumni Association Offices, Art Gallery, and Art Drawing Studio. ka worked closely with the college to meet a very demanding schedule, within their allocated budget, and provide the quality and function that was desired. Thirteen-foot ceilings were realized by utilizing exposed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This also helped reduce the project costs. The layout allowed visual control of the access to three separate spaces at one location. It also allowed the three uses to share a refreshment area and support space for various functions. This structure is part of a LEED for Neighborhood Development community (LEED ND). The building shell is LEED Certified and the interior adhered to LEED elements. The actual cost is confidential but this project came in below the budget and original estimate.
