Working in a pre-set timeframe, ka worked with ICI employee groups to shorten the design process.  Through this method, major issues were solved including furniture selection, color palettes, department organization, technology interface, and spatial layouts.

ka developed a color scheme utilizing ICI's various coatings and used a two-story lobby as a focal point.  Departments were grouped along corridors or pathways leading from the lobby creating an open plan arrangement.

By providing work specific furniture in offices, ka was able to downsize the offices and provide additional conference spaces for team use.  A space at the top of the second floor was developed as a collaboration area.
