Beacon Place: Independence, Ohio

Dalad Group

This seven-story office building has a distinctive appearance with its contextual blend of materials and textures. The unusual layout creates twelve corner offices per floor-a particularly attractive feature for a multi-tenant building, also the Divisional Headquarters of AGA Gas.

Although, a multi-tenant office building, Beacon Place was designed so that the individual tenant would feel that the building was specifically for them, regardless of whether they occupied 10,000 or 1,000 square feet, whether they had 50 employees or five. To support this concept, ka designed key functional areas within the building that could be utilized by any of the tenants on an as needed or scheduled basis. These areas include a flexible conference center, fitness center, corporate cafe, private dining area, convenience center, mail, and copy center. These are generally areas which would be a component of any large corporate facility, but which would be unaffordable and impractical for a small business to absorb.
