ka, along with Duke Construction, was selected to design and construct Avery Dennison's new headquarters and research facility for its Northeast Ohio operations.
The firm's Environmental Graphic Design (EGD) Studio designed permanent exhibit pieces to illustrate Avery Denison's history and culture to employees and visitors as part of the building entry sequence. One of the project components was the development of an Avery Dennison History Wall highlighting the company's vision and values and depicting its innovative personality and character. The sleek and modern exhibit is an architecturally integrated component of the reception lobby. The exterior wayfinding for the facility was also designed by ka's EGD Studio. This included the challenge of integrating the program into an established residential community with minimal interruptions.
Careful compliance with the city's signage code guidelines ensured the development of a safe and lawful wayfinding plan. The Wayfinding Program also worked in conjunction with existing style guidelines established by the Avery Dennison Corporation.
