Tampa, FL (January 8, 2008) – On January 7, ka opened the doors of its new Tampa, Florida studio. Tampa marks the architecture firm’s second location. The decision to expand to Florida was based upon the firm’s growing number of projects in the Southeast region and in Mexico. ka provides site and land planning, architecture, interior architecture, landscape architecture and environmental graphic design services.
Senior designer Ken Sizemore, who has been with ka since 2005, leads the office. An experienced designer, Sizemore has worked on a variety of projects in the US and internationally, both as a senior project designer and manager. His project experience includes public sector, institutional, and extensive commercial, including retail, entertainment, mixed-use and urban regeneration.
The Tampa office is located at 3030 North Rocky Point Drive W, Suite 470. Current ka’s Florida projects include the Lake Nona Town Center (Orlando, FL), Commercial Block in Midtown Miami (Miami, FL), Village of Gulfstream Park (Hallandale Beach, FL), Avenues Walk (Jacksonville, FL), Macy’s (Tampa, FL), and Pier Park (Panama City Beach, FL).
Founded in 1960, ka has evolved into a nationally recognized, 105-person firm based in downtown Cleveland, Ohio with active projects in 23 states, Mexico, and Canada.
