Cleveland, OH (May 10, 2005) The Northern Ohio Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) presented ka with the Architectural Design of the Year award at NAIOP's Awards of Excellence Banquet in Cleveland on May 3. The award was granted for ka's work on the Heritage Corporate Center located in Broadview Heights. Ohio. In addition, ka's client, The Dalad Group, won Office Developer of the Year award for the same project.

"This recognition reflects the cohesiveness of our firm to combine its many talents in architecture and design to create a functional and exciting project," he added.
ka was commissioned by The Dalad Group to master plan and design the multi-tenant office complex along with providing interior design, environmental graphics and landscape architecture. The two-story project exhibits some notable features including a two-story lobby enhanced by an open balcony with glazed interior walls and a glass-enclosed open staircase capped by fiber optic lighting creating a focal point in the lobby. Throughout the complex, there is a palette of architectural materials consisting of granite and porcelain floors; rift cut red oak veneer wall panels, fabric, carpeted corridors, indirect and decorative light fixtures and glass walls. Overall, the project consists of 60,000 square feet of office space on both floors, 22,500 square feet for enclosed parking, storage, and building support, plus, a 4,500 square foot multi-purpose area.
